I felt discriminated against. I truly did by Kim Taylor. She made rude remarks on my religion and made my application process extremely tedious and difficult. I stuck it out and gave her everything she asked for- and some!!! Even my fiance, who's stationed on the other side of the country went out of his way to send her the additional info she asked for. Eventually we gave up on her and went through another company, who was more prestige and made the process easier. We moved in 2 days later, whereas it took 2 weeks for Cent21 to even get started.
I was suprised at the lack of professional behavior exhibited by the agent I dealt with at this brokerage. Having been licensed as a Realtor before myself, I understand (and take great pains to adhere to) the ethical codes of the Association. Even though I spent several thousands of dollars extra on a transaction to avoid any appearance of impropriety on a purchase I made, I was still treated as if I was at fault for the shortcomings of Associate Broker Stan Cole. I don't mind providing further detail for those who may doubt about vague internet reviews.
I ran across some duplexes I was interested in purchasing in 2016. I noticed that Mr. Cole had previously listed them, but that the listing was recently expired. Not wanting to appear to be a shark in the water (making an offer after a listing expired), I voluntarily reached out to Mr. Cole to ask him to present an offer to the seller on my behalf. Mr. Cole did so and informed me that the seller was no longer interested in selling at that time.
Instead of making an offer or negotiating with the seller directly, I passed on those properties and began looking elsewhere. Shortly thereafter, I saw that they were relisted with another agency (for more money). Still wanting the properties (and running out of time for a tax exchange I needed to complete), I made an offer through the new agent (who would now get the commision from a sale regardless of who previously listed them).
I purposely did not try to acquire the properties while they were unlisted. My only reason was specifically so as not to appear like I was trying to cut Mr. Cole out of his commission, even though I likely could have gotten the properties for at least 6% less than what I ended up paying, since there would have been no commission to account for. I can see no better manner in which I could have conducted myself.
Fast forward to 2019. I decided to list the properties for sale and reached out to Mr. Cole, as his past listing indicated that these were the type of properties he is willing to sell. As soon as I told him who I was, he rudely refused to deal with me, citing that "he remembered how he got beat out of his commission."
I take serious exception to the inference that I should be blamed for his not being able to sell the properties previously, particularly in light of how I handled the situation at the time. Rather than speak to me respectfully, his pettiness cost him my several listings and now this public review. I can be reached through my profile here on Google if anyone has any questions about this interaction.
Extremely terrible people to do business with. They will convinetly *lose payments* and then miss charge you, and be rude to you and not apologize for their own incompetence. They will also NOT take care of properties they are assigned.
Go somewhere else for business.
